We have two strands of Young Leader Training opportunities in Peterborough Diocese: Inspire for 14-18 year olds and Junior Inspire for 10-13’s. Both of these are now being headed up by our Inspire Co-ordinator Cameron Benoy and form one young leadership programme.
Contact Cameron at firstname.lastname@example.org until July 2019 (then contact Pete White email@example.com)
For the older Inspire group we offer an annual weekend away early in the Spring Term,
plus a couple of other training days during the year. We also have an online messenger group to keep in touch, with encouragement, information, resources, events etc.
We encourage these young leaders to tap into the national CEYC and send reps to the Council, plus encouraging engagement by all young leaders in the open days.
Junior Inspire for 10’s to 13’s is a strand of young leader training for young people who are growing from children’s work, taking on greater responsibilities and who have a great openness to leadership and their faith journey. We run 2 training days annually and encourage the group to tie into other local diocesan events.
Inspire is at the heart of our Young Vocations strategy, giving opportunity and information that might help to guide young leaders into a life of vocational ministry.
We are currently rethinking, re-shaping and re-visioning our Inspire out-put and the scheme will be relaunched at the Gen2 Conference on 29th June 2019.
If you have young people with potential or experience in leadership, please let us know so that we can support them and link them up with others like them.
