CMC Course Content & Links

This page is for those who are part of the 2019/20 CMC cohort and is your one stop shop for handouts, links, booklists and other documents you may need.

For those not on the course, you may find some useful stuff for your Children’s Ministry – but if it piques your interest and you want to know more, how about joining next year’s 20/21 cohort?!

Here is your course Handbook with Important Dates and more info.

Before you start the course on Tuesday 8th October, you will need a valid DBS certificate. Find out more about the Disclosure and Barring Service It is free for volunteers to be checked, through the Diocese of Peterborough.

In order to receive a DBS check certificate you will need to contact your Parish Safeguarding Officer and they will arrange it for you. You will need to fill out a simple declaration form and show relevant personal ID documents to your Safeguarding Officer. It can take some time to complete the procedure and for your DBS to be processed and certificate sent, so please begin the process as soon as you can.

Also before 8th October, if possible, you need to arrange and complete a Primary School Visit and Lesson Observation. Here’s a document to download with all the information you will need to set up your visit:
